Castelli Perfetto, Long-Sleeve Jacket/Jersey, Large, Blue. Dating from 2015/16, this is the first generation of the Castelli Perfetto jacket/jersey. Made from Gore Windstopper X-Lite Plus, the jersey is water resistant and suited for autumn and winter rides. It’s a brilliant jacket and very versatile. The side zipers are a great addition to allow venting. Sizing is typical Castelli – quite unforgiving! A quick look at at a sizing chart shows this Large is sized on a 39 inch chest (100 cm); 34.5 inch waist (88 cm); and 40 inch hips (102 cm). I’d say this large sizes up just right, Castelli-wise, as I typically take a medium in most other jackets/brands. Condition is really good. Although the jacket is 5 years old, there are no rips or noticeable marks on the body of the jacket. The Perfetto logo on the upper right chest looks a little worn up close but is really not noticeable. The main glitch is the zipper pull which broke off (see photo), but thankfully, the zip still works fine and stays fastened. The jacket washes really well. This 2015 model/edition has been superseeded by the newer Perfetto Ros jacket, which has minor updates, mostly to the pockets (2 on the newer, versus 3 on this original) and taping over the shoulders. I have both models and I actually prefer this original version with it’s more substantial dropped tail with the full Castelli name (in reflective logos), as well as a very useful silicone gripper on this dropped tail that seems to have been dropped from the latest version.
