The Gabba is named for Gabriel Rasch a Norwegian on the Cervelo Test Team who suggested the idea to Castelli’s product developers. Apparently there is a Gabba Jean Company company. Even though Castelli’s name had nothing to do with jeans, they were served with a cease and desist letter for using the name Gabba. Like most companies who are scared of litigation, Castelli changed the name of the jacket to Perfetto. So what is a Castelli Perfetto/Gabba Jacket and why are they so special? When I tried on the short sleeve Gabba I know that I found the best piece of winter cycling gear ever. Later, Castelli came up with the long sleeve version of the Gabba. While the long sleeve was a great idea, I truly believe that the short sleeve is a better piece for performance cycling in the cold and rain. The Castelli Gabba is the best cycling jacket ever period. Yes, I said it. In my 35 years of riding this is my favorite winter jacket. Condition is New with tags.
